This is one of Suibao Group's 1,300 retail outlets in eastern China. The stores feature a clean, contemporary design and use warm colors to attract shoppers.BOSTON - Spring Air International has signed a licensing agreement with Suibao Furniture Group, one of China's largest mattress producers and retailers.
Suibao, recently named China's "top brand" and "most valuable mattress brand" by the Chinese government, will produce Spring Air-branded bedding in China. The agreement marks Spring Air's entry into the Chinese market.
Headquartered in eastern Guangzhou, the Suibao Group has factories there and in Shanghai, Tianjing and Hebei. It operates 1,300 retail outlets in the eastern half of China.
"This is one of the most meaningful international partnerships we have ever formed," said Eric Spitzer, senior vice president of Spring Air. "The Suibao Group is not only a major force in China in terms of its size, reach, brand power and technological strength, but it's also the first bedding manufacturer in China to introduce and distribute to its own base of mattress stores."
Spitzer said the Suibao Group will make and sell a full line of Spring Air products to its retail outlets.

"Our relationship with Spring Air will bring to Chinese customers a new collection of innovative, quality mattress products from a well recognized and respected U.S. brand," said Deng Zhi, CEO and chairwoman of Suibao Group. "We're very excited to become a member of the Spring Air International family. It's a milestone in our development."
Suibao Group, founded in 1972, was a leader in China in adopting modern manufacturing techniques and equipment, expanding its production facilities, and opening its own mattress stores, according to Spring Air officials.
They said Spring Air, now sold by international partners in 33 countries, is committed to expanding its bedding lines around the world.
